  • Location: Brantford, Ontario
  • Shift: Full Time, Day Shift, 41 hours per week
  • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
  • Compensation: Company paid benefits plan/ RRSP contributions (after 4 months)

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting robotic welding cells
  • College diploma within related field an asset
  • Be proficient with Solid Works and AutoCad
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and organization skills
  • Knowledge of laser cameras or vision systems an asset
  • Knowledge of Kuka robotics and asset
  • Understand weld profiles, defects and weld gauges
  • Having worked with Octopuz programming software would be an asset
  • Understand mechanical drawings and weld symbols
  • Always striving to advance processes
  • Overhead crane experience an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Program large panel fabrications using Solid Works
  • Ensure robot trajectory will not harm machine or product 
  • Ensure all fabrications conform to customer specifications
  • Keep organized, up to date records of all panels welded and any issues that may have affected the production
  • Maintain traceable documentation to ensure mistakes only happen once
  • Collaborate with engineering and shop floor to maximize machine productivity and efficiency
  • Represent the company at all levels of business and adhere to the principals set out in the company mission statement.
  • Expected to be proactive and possess excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Expected to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Follow the OHSA and CPF safety policies and procedures making sure to report potential safety issues to the Health and Safety Department, Plant Manager or QA Manager
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Direct Manager
  • Extended hours available depending on company work load
