Quality Control Inspector

Shift: Full Time, Day Shift, 41 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Compensation: Company paid benefits plan/ RRSP contributions (after 4 months)

Based in Brantford, Ontario, you will perform or assist in a variety of quality control and inspection work related to a specific discipline ensuring all standards, codes and regulations are met for the manufacturing process.

 

In your role you will:

• Complete various dimensional and visual inspections throughout the fabrication process.
• Ensure all fabrications conform to customer specifications, applicable welding codes and the CPF QA Manual.
• Keep organized, up to date records of all inspections. Ensure that all documentation is submitted in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
• Report all issues that may affect the production schedule and quality of manufactured product to the QA Manager & Plant Manager
• Work with Customer representatives in a courteous, professional manner.
• Perform quality inspections at supplier locations to ensure quality of outsourced work.
• Represent the company at all levels of business and adhere to the principals set out in the company mission statement.
• Expected to be proactive and possess excellent time management and problem solving skills.
• Expected to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Follow the OHSA and CPF safety policies and procedures making sure to report potential safety issues to the Health and Safety Department, Plant Manager or QA Manager.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the QA Manager.
• Extended hours available depending on company work load

 

Qualifications:

• 1 to 5 year(s) experience within the fabrication industry. (Fitting, welding, QA etc)
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector or CSA W178.2 Level 2 Welding Inspector preferred
• College diploma within related field an asset
• Experience with NDT processes an asset (MPI, UT LPI, RT)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, technical writing and organization skills
• Basic industrial coating and galvanizing knowledge is an asset
• High School diploma required
